Lunch in Soho
Fresh handmade pasta and Italian classics in the heart of London
Whether you're catching up with a friend, treating yourself to a midweek break, or need somewhere to take clients that isn't a chain, 40 Dean Street is a good place to spend your lunch hour. We're a family-run Italian restaurant tucked down one of Soho's quieter streets, and we've been serving fresh pasta and Italian classics for over twenty years. If you're looking for lunch with colleagues, friends, or loved ones during lunch hours, come down and we'll look after you.

The Menu
The pasta is made fresh every day, and it's as authentic as it comes. There are starters to share, risottos and pasta dishes for something comforting, and mains from the grill if you're after fish or steak. If you're a truffle fan, we have a few favourites on the menu too. The wine list covers Italian and French bottles, and there's a cocktail menu if you want to start with something stronger.
Soho's Go-To Lunch Spot
Soho has always been a good place to meet over food. It's central, it's easy to get to, and the restaurants tend to have more character than the chains you'll find elsewhere. 40 Dean Street has an atmosphere that puts people at ease, with a relaxed buzz, and enough space between tables that you can have a proper conversation.
Whether you're catching up with friends, treating a loved one, out with colleagues, or hosting clients, we can seat groups of various sizes and cater to different dietary requirements. Let us know when you book if you have any specific requests.

We're right in the heart of Soho, a short walk from Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road, and Piccadilly Circus. Dean Street runs parallel to Wardour Street and is easy to find whether you're coming from work, home, or somewhere in between. The restaurant is open from midday, so you can come for an early lunch or a later sitting depending on your day.
Why 40 Dean Street
Twenty years in one location is rare for any London restaurant, and we're still here because people keep coming back. The pasta is handmade, the team is lovely, and the atmosphere has a great vibe. Dogs are welcome too, so if you're spending the day in Soho with your four-legged companion, bring them along.

Book Your Table
We take bookings for lunch every day of the week. If you're coming with a group or have a specific time in mind, book ahead to secure your table.
